Turnaround Times:

The T Shirt Man has a standard turnaround time of 3 – 5 working days which don’t include weekends or bank holidays. You will be given an estimated completion date when your order is processed. If an order is needed by a certain date it must be stated on both the order form and verbally over the phone when payment is being made.


Unless specifically agreed, all invoices are payable immediately before garments go into production. Unless previously stated or in the case of dealing with PLC & Government invoice terms can be agreed with the customer however if the balance is not met within the stated payment terms, interest will be charged as per the Consumer Credit Act 1974.


When placing an order with The T Shirt Man the customer accepts sole responsibility for copyright and the reproduction of images. It is deemed you are the owner / have permission to reproduce artwork files.

Proofs Sheets:

At the customers request we can send a proof sheet to you to approve prior to printing which displays the print size, position & print colours. Scale may not be 100% accurate so please check the dimensions & measure if necessary. If you decide to change something please make sure you receive updated proofs.
This is not always an option where fast turnaround orders are placed and so full discussion must be over the phone as well as dimensions of print to be emailed to us.

We cannot accept responsibility for any mistakes that are made on the proof sheet in the final print, so please check this very carefully. We cannot guarantee that the digital colours displayed on proof sheets are completely accurate. Monitor colours vary a lot so cannot be 100% certain we are both seeing the same colour. For custom mixed ink it’s pretty essential that you check colours against a printed Pantone Solid Coated book for accurate colour referencing. We cannot accept responsibilty for a colour not matching your original artwork if the ink colour matches the Pantone colour / ink colour you approved. If you approve a proof sheet, we will assume you have checked the ink colour against a Pantone guide & all is OK.

How do I cancel an order?

If you want to cancel an order it’s best to contact us ASAP to avoid charges. If you cancel the order prior to stock being ordered then you will be entitled to a full refund. If stock has been ordered then there would be a 25% restocking fee on the price of the garments. If production has started then you will be entitled to a refund minus the material & labour costs incurred. If the items have already been produced, due to them being custom products you will not be able to cancel the order.

What inks do you use?

The T Shirt Man uses a variety of printing methods but when screen printing we use soft plastisol inks for light garments & a discharge underbase with soft plastisol on top for darks. This enables us to have a soft, bright, breathable print on light & dark coloured garments, which is our preferred finish. If you are using a blended garment (less than 80% cotton) or a garment dyed with non dischargeable dye (typically purple, green & blue shirts won’t discharge) then we have to use a low bleed plastisol ink which will give a heavier print finish, the ink will be sitting on top of the fabric rather than a part of it. If you have a preference to what print finish you require, be sure to tell us when ordering & we’ll make sure the print is exactly how you want it! If you prefer a soft print ask for waterbased / discharge inks, if you prefer a heavier print ask for plastisol.

All Over Prints? (Sublimation)

We don’t offer an all over printing / sublimation service unfortunately. We currently only offer screen printing. Our maximum print size is 40cm x 53cm.

One off samples?

Due to the set up involved with screen printing we don’t offer a sample of a screen printed garment, we can however offer customers a vinyl printed sample at the cost of £12.50, although not printed with the same method the size and t shirt will be the same. This should eliminate potential problems.

Why are my sizes slightly different to what I ordered?

We always try our utmost to send all garments in the correct sizes and 99.9% of orders leave our studio on time and with the correct number of garments in the correct sizes, however there are times and it is something that happens more often with the fast 24 hour turnaround garments that if we are missing a size or we have been given the wrong product by our supplier. In this scenario we always contact the customer to see what is the best option but when we are unable to contact the customer we always try and send additional garments (eg. Missing an L we shall send a M & XL so the individual can choose the best fitting garment).
